BOOK LAUNCH SUCCESSFUL!

So happy to let everyone know that the launch of my "First Star I See Tonight" Ukrainian Christmas Traditions" at McNally Robinson Booksellers on Dec. 3 was very successful.   Over 200 attended.   It was a Ukrainian-style launch, with koliadnyky (carollers) [thank you, Melos Ensemble!] and medivnyk [Ukr. honey cake) [thank you, Geoffroy Dextraze, pastry chef!]   Thanks to my wonderful son Dobryan for being the MC.  And to John Toews of McNally's for organizing the launch.
I also had a launch at Oseredok (Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre), with some good discussions.  Tomorrow, will be speaking at Holy Family Home.
The books are available across Canada now, and in NYC - The Ukrainian Museum, and Surma.      Available from: yevshan.com;http://www.mcnallyrobinson.com/online-ordering#.Vmcza_krLIU ; Koota Ooma, Toronto ; Ukrainian Museum, NYC; Friends of Kule Centre, Edmonton; Audrey's, Edmonton; House of Ukraine, San Diego; Ukrainian bookstores in Winnipeg, Lubov Foundation.
The book is #1 on the McNally Robinson bestseller list for softcover non-fiction this week (was #2 last week)!    http://www.mcnallyrobinson.com/browse.php?txtCatID=697
Thanks to Diane Maione, my editor, and Walter Kulyk (creative direction) and Al Klymochko (graphic design), the graphic designers who created such a beautiful volume.  And without my kind and generous sponsors [see panel in photo], I would not have been able to do this.
As a few readers noted, "it is a happy book."
Still time for organizations to order the books for fundraising.
